Richard E. Zulkey is admitted to the Illinois Bar, the Federal District Court and the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, American Bar Association, Advocate Society and Northwest Suburban Bar Association.
Concentrating now in property matters of all types, the firm focuses on property tax assessment challenges and land use issues in the greater Chicago land area.
Being active in local and community affairs, he has been a member of the Chicago Building Board of Appeals and has been its Chairman since 2010. He also serves as a hearing officer for local election boards.
He began his career in the State’s Attorney Office in Cook County. From there he served as Legal Counsel and Comptroller for the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County before going into private practice. He obtained his law degree from De Paul University in Chicago and he has a Master of Arts in Public Administration from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He received his undergraduate degree from the College of the Holy Cross in Worchester, Massachusetts.
